U (Using manipulatives)-Students manipulated foam pattern blocks into shapes.
I( Independently Working)- Students rolled a dice and doubled the number then colored in the corresponding box.
L(Learning with Numbers)- Students worked with Mrs. B to complete story problems.

Week in Review:
- This week we continued our author study about Kevin Henkes.  We read the books Chrysanthemum, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, Owen, and Wemberly Worried.  Throughout the week we compared the characters in each story to other stories written by the same author.  During the story Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse students wrote about what they want to be when they grow up as well as sequenced the story from beginning to end.
-In science we have begun learning about matter.  We starting learning about the attributes of matter: anything that takes up space (solid, liquid, or gas).
