Reading A Part of Your Family Time
Family
time is so important…Why not make reading part of this valuable time with your
kids? Here are some tips for integrating
reading into our daily family activities:
-Read
bedtime stories
-Create
a comfy reading space in your home.
-Put
your child in charge of reading the grocery list at the store.

Book Guidelines:
1 1. Have your child read their
book to you
2. Record the title of your
child’s book and number of minutes read each night in the back of the student
planners.
3. Return the planner and
book each day so I can record and monitor their minutes read.
Reading
Incentives:
For every 5 hours that students read they will receive a prize. Examples include: stickers, erasers, pencils,
and treasure box items. Once students
reach 50 hours read, they can earn a free Pizza Ranch buffet.
