Sight Words

Dear Parents,

        Attached is a set of sight words that we will be using to help your child in the area of reading.  These words are from a list of the most frequently used words in reading and writing.  Being able to identify these words quickly will help your child be more successful and confident with their reading. 

        The cards are printed so that you can cut them out and use them as flashcards.  You can keep the cards in your child’s homework folder.  Plan to go over the cards with your child 1-2 times per week.  When you feel your child is ready for the next set of words just write us a note.  We will check the words over with your child at school and send the next set home when they are ready.  Thank you for supporting your child with this extra practice.
