-Thank you to all the parents who have attended their child’s conference. I really enjoyed watching your child show you about their learning.
-As a school we are starting a stamina reading challenge.  Progress of each class will be posted in the lunchroom for students to see.  Stamina is doing anything for a long period of time without getting tired or giving up.

Week in Review:
-We started this week in math with some fun pumpkin math.  We practiced our estimating skills by estimating the weight and circumference of our pumpkin.  We then were able to go weigh our pumpkin.  We measured the circumference with big paperclips and small paperclips.  Finally, students estimated how many seeds were inside and we carved our pumpkin to find out.
-We spent some time this week working on writing some silly stories with fall words.  We also worked on finishing our bat facts paragraph.
-Due to all the early outs this week we had limited science time.  We are still learning about the different animal groups.  So far we have learned about mammals, birds, and reptiles.
