In her hand is the tap that they pound into the tree and then attach the bucket to for the sap to run into.

Students collected sap from the tree buckets in these white buckets. Students then carried the sap from the tree to the Sugar Shack.
Students dumped the sap into a filter to get out some of the bugs and leaves. The sap then went into a big basin which the pumped into the sugar shack.
Inside the Sugar Shack they showed up the filter that they use to cook the sap into syprup.
Each student got given a small sample cup to taste the syrup.

We toured a museum in West Bend where we learned about things of the past. This student tried on a hat from the past.

We toured a one room school house.
We learned about how schools were in the past. One of the things that we learned was about the Dunce hat.
