Field Trips

We have had some great field trips.  Yesterday we had Farm Safety Day and today we went to the apple orchard by the community college in town.

 One of the sessions we went to we learned about Sun safety.

 We learned about water safety and the correct ways to wear a life jacket.

 State Farm brought in their fire house for us to learn about fire safety.  We were able to feel how hot a door would get if there was a fire behind it.

 We learned what it would be like if the room filled with smoke by them releasing fake smoke into the air.

 Students then practiced climbing out of the smoke filled room through the window.

At the apple orchard we learned how apple juice was made in the olden days.  They used an apple press to squeeze out the juice.  When we returned to school we were able to have some apple juice.
