Week
in Review:
Reading:
This week spent time working on our end of year assessments. We worked on writing our no excuse words,
dictation, and journal writing.
Math: This week we have been reviewing two digit addition
problems.
Science: Our engineering unit is going well. Students are learning about the importance of
plant packaging to allow for air, water, and sun.
Notes:
-I
spent Wednesday testing all first graders.
The tests that I did included: sight words, nonsense words, word
segmenting, and reading passages. An
example of word segmenting would be if I say camp they say /c/ /a/ /m/ /p. I am pleased with all our progress this
year. My class still has one test left
to do on the computers.
-All library books are due May 12. Our last day for Hawk books will be Friday, May 9.
